Program Overview

This advanced one-year fellowship is a hospital-based program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, centered at Mercy Medical Center in suburban St. Louis, Missouri.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive clinical exposure and advanced training to oral and maxillofacial surgeons seeking to expand their expertise in full-scope surgical procedures, interdisciplinary care, and complex case management.

Clinical Focus Areas

Fellows will gain intensive training and hands-on experience in:

  • Facial Cosmetic Surgery
  • Digital Complex Dental Implantology (with Prosthodontic collaboration)
  • TMJ Surgery and Arthroscopy 
  • Total Joint Reconstruction
  • Orthognathic and Reconstructive Jaw Surgery
  • Sleep Apnea Surgery
  • Maxillofacial Pathology
  • Trigeminal Nerve Repair

     

The fellowship emphasizes diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical management, and interdisciplinary coordination across these subspecialties.

Candidates must have completed an approved OMFS residency, Missouri dental speciality licensure is required. Salary, benefits and continuing education allowance are included.

Duration: One year
Location: Mercy Medical Center – St. Louis, Missouri
